Even in this era of high awareness of the environment, businesses collectively recycle less than one-quarter of the waste they generate. That means yard clippings and other organic material goes into the waste stream, often destined for landfills.
But by using composted materials wherever possible, commercial customers do their part for the environment, by creating more demand for these formerly cast-off materials. Instead of going into landfill, where the material will increase environmentally harmful greenhouse gases, the waste is instead re-used for nutrient-rich soil additives. That renews old soil, which revitalizes plants, lawns and other outdoor greenery.
